About

I am predominantly a musician.

I typically work in the fields of jazz, improvised music, and electronica.

I currently perform with Mu Quintet and Ancient Infinity Orchestra.

I run the Leeds Improvisors' Orchestra alongside Ozzy Moysey.

I am one half of left-field/ambient duo Yard Nule.

I compose music in a more traditional sense sometimes too, usually with good old pen and paper.

I am an experienced game artist working in 3D modelling, texturing, rigging, and animation.

I co-founded a small indie games studio called 'Unseen Forms' with Jake Nicolaides.

Our current project is a virtual reality game called Spirit Lens.

I write a lot and sometimes, this writing will arrange itself into poetry.
You can read my collection 'blueish' here.

I like the idea of a "quiet web" and regularly post updates and reflections on my blog.

Latest from the blog...

Mk.gee

Just a quick post in praise of Mk.gee (pronounced 'Muh-ghee') who is, in my opinion, a once-in-a-decade visionary artist with a hyper-tuned aesthetic sense.

Sure, Mk.gee is hyped but rarely is this recognition quite so deserved.

'Two Star & The Dream Police' is a mosaic of influences each of them serving as a glistening pillar of clarity and stability in the murky sound-ocean that he conjures.
The music is delivered in a fragmented style which belies the masterful precision and intent of this work.

It is a perfectly executed album on so many levels and at just 33 minutes it is designed as a repeatable experience.
*Perhaps a hot take- aren't most albums... (and even shows) just too long*?

I LOVE this album. It is a truly rare treat to get to say that.

There is an evident fusion of Arthur Russell, Genesis, Prince, Frank Ocean, 80s pop harmony through a noise-art filter.
This exact combo is what I was trying to achieve with the Yard Nule song 'Cat's Farewell' back in 2021.

Now in 2025, listening to Mk.gee's music, I hear this 'feeling' communicated so successfully that I never need to try for that sound again.
