My teaching is primarily aimed at advanced students and professional musicians who want to deepen their musical understanding and take their playing significantly further. Topics include: • Fundamentals of music • Functional harmony • Extended harmony • Development of melodic concepts • Learning and analysing jazz solos • Ear training • Scales • Piano technique, including classical technique and fingerings for improvisation • Chord vocabulary • Voicings • Improvisation • Free improvisation • Composition Lesson fees are £50 per hour or £30 per half hour.
