I am a professional pianist, composer, and teacher offering piano lessons in Leeds, specialising in jazz, classical and improvised music.
I studied with a scholarship at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and have over 25 years of playing experience, with more than a decade working as a professional musician.
I have performed extensively across the UK and internationally, including appearances at major festivals such as London Jazz Festival, Glasgow Jazz Festival, Brussels Jazz Festival, Glastonbury Festival, and We Out Here.
Alongside teaching, I perform and compose with a number of projects including Mu Quintet, Ancient Infinity Orchestra, and Yard Nule.
My teaching focuses on helping students develop a deep understanding of musical language, build confidence in improvisation and composition, and ultimately play the music they connect with most.
I offer private piano lessons in Leeds (LS5), specialising in jazz piano, classical piano (ABRSM), improvisation, and music theory.
My lessons are primarily aimed at committed students, musicians, and professionals looking to deepen their understanding of harmony, rhythm, and musical language.
I usually teach from my home but may be able to travel to the student depending on their needs.
